Audit reads: inspect timestamped changes

Use ERPClaw's system audit log to inspect recorded changes and understand what an audit checkpoint represents.

get-system-audit-log reads the system audit log. Use an authorised operator for system-wide reads. Inspect the timestamps, action names and document references returned by the action.

Follow the recorded example

Each change in the homepage’s recorded example left a timestamped entry. The payment entries identify the creation, update and submission of the payment. The supplier-bill example includes the creation of a draft; the refused posting left the ledger unchanged.

Match the returned document references to the payment or bill you are reviewing. Read the actual returned entries rather than assuming that an action has created an entry of a particular kind.

Read a checkpoint

get-audit-checkpoint calculates a digest of the current audit log. A later entry changes that digest too. If you retain a checkpoint, keep its date and the log state it represents so a later comparison has the right context.
