Bill capture: from a file to a reviewed draft
Extract text from a supplier bill, check the fields and save a reviewed ERPClaw draft tied to the captured file.
capture-vendor-bill reads a local PNG or a text-based PDF. PNG extraction uses Tesseract; PDF text extraction uses pdftotext. The capture returns extracted text and a file hash. It creates no bill and writes nothing to the database.
Review the extracted fields
Treat the extracted text as input to review. Check the supplier, bill number, dates, currency, amounts and line items against the original file before preparing the bill fields.
Save the reviewed draft
add-captured-vendor-bill takes the reviewed bill fields and the capture hash. It checks that the file still matches that hash and creates a standalone vendor-bill draft. Saving that draft does not post to the general ledger.
Review the draft before taking the next posting step. For ordered goods, use three-way matching on the purchase-order-linked invoice path. Capture does not attach its standalone draft to a purchase order.
